Handsewn, vintage, 100% silk Haoris and Kimonos from Japan all between 70-100 years old. In some cases hand-embroidered, hand tie-dyed.

After Use
After wearing, hang the garment in a shaded area with good circulation. Avoid direct sunlight and humidity. Silk naturally fights off dirt and microbes, so hanging your garment in a well ventilated area is sufficient to maintain your kimono clean.

Washing
In case of spills and stains, dry-clean. Washing should be kept to a minimum as it will damage the fabric. 

Ironing
Ironing should be kept to a minimum, as silk is easily damaged by heat. Steam iron could be used as long as you are cautious not to let water droplets from the iron touch the fabric as this can cause staining. Under no circumstances should you iron parts with metal threads or embroidery.

No steaming
Steam irons and clothes steamers should not be used as the vapor can shrink and discolor the fabric.

Storage
To avoid creasing, fold rather than hang your garment.
